About Twinbook
Twinbook began from a personal frustration: learning from dense content still feels too manual.
Students and professionals spend hours searching through slides, PDFs, videos, textbooks, notes, and practice material — not because they lack motivation, but because the material is fragmented and hard to navigate.
Why we built it
Twinbook was created to change that. It transforms static content into adaptive learning spaces that help learners understand what matters, ask questions in context, build memory, and review with rigor.
Where we're starting
We're starting with healthcare learners — medical, nursing, and health-science students — then expanding toward creators, educators, and professionals across fields where complex content needs to become easier to learn.
Who's building it
Twinbook is built by a small founding team with experience across software, AI systems, education, and product development, with academic roots at institutions including the University of Illinois (UIUC) and Stanford University.
Our work is informed by feedback from learners, educators, clinicians, legal professionals, and industry practitioners who understand the challenge of turning complex material into usable knowledge.
Our commitments
We take the trust placed in us seriously. We don't train or fine-tune models on user content, we isolate every learner's data, your work is portable and exportable at any time, and we're transparent about how the system works. See our Trust & Security center for the details, and our Research / Blog for how Twinbook is built.
